Rosetta Journal Issue #07 Supplementary Edition: Proceedings of the IAA Colloquium 2009

The annual IAA Colloquium began in 2006, and although Rosetta has published many Colloquium papers since then, this is the first time that a special Colloquium edition of Rosetta has been produced. The papers delivered at the Colloquium, and those reworked into the articles published below, reflect the diversity of the Institute of Archaeology and Antiquity here at the University of Birmingham, and the interdisciplinary nature of the research undertaken.

Christos Malatras: The perception of the Roman heritage in 12th century Byzantium

Leonor Medeiros: Managing Mining Landscapes - Some issues and cases in Portugal and the UK

Francesca Sapsford: Martial's 'Epic': Os Impurum and Oral Sex in the Epigrams

Helen Wood: Byzantine Women: Religion and Gender Construction
